Rawvaela Café is a small vintage bistro near Khlong Lat Mayom floating market in Taling Chan, serving housemade desserts, bistro food, and carefully made coffee in a European-style shophouse that feels genuinely unhurried.

The Space

The building is white-walled and compact, announced by a distinctive green front door. Inside, the aesthetic blends exposed brick, warm wood furniture, and dried flowers — loft-vintage in feel but soft enough to be welcoming rather than stark. There are indoor air-conditioned seats and an outdoor English garden-style zone, both decorated with thoughtful details and plenty of natural photo angles. It’s small — around five or six tables — which keeps the atmosphere intimate and calm. Parking is available on-site, an unusual convenience for a café of this character.

The Food and Drink

The dessert counter is the centrepiece. Banoffee tart is the bestseller — banana, lightly sweet cream, and a caramel note that doesn’t overdo it. Cheesecake, tarts, and s’mores cake round out a menu that rotates and changes with the seasons. Everything is made in-house. On the drinks side, coffee is taken seriously: the caramel macchiato is fragrant and balanced, and the americano is clean and medium-roast. Signature drinks like the Dark Beer — espresso with raspberry and preserved plum — are worth trying for the creativity alone.

The Location

Rawvaela sits directly next to Khlong Lat Mayom, one of Bangkok’s most beloved weekend floating markets. The pairing is natural: spend a morning browsing the market, then settle into the café for coffee and cake. It’s a western Bangkok outing that rewards the detour.

Bringing Your Dog

Rawvaela is dog-friendly, with outdoor seating in the garden that makes it easy to bring your dog along. The relaxed, neighbourhood pace of the area — tree-lined roads, the canal nearby, the unhurried rhythm of a weekend market — makes it one of the more pleasant dog-friendly outings on this side of the city.
